    Most eleven-year-old birthday parties are a little different than the one hosted by Jules Murray. While most youngsters are inviting friends over for jelly and ice cream, Jules was amassing a team of artists, ready to help save Africa’s endangered rhinos.

    Jules is a South African living in Hong Kong, but her wristband-based fundraising campaign is already making waves as far afield as Australia. Her fundraising activities began when she brought her schoolyard chums together to paint portraits to auction off to raise proceeds for endangered African rhinos.

    promotional productsPromotional products pack a huge punch in terms of boosting your marketing potential. Just listen to some data from a 2012 study by market research firm BPMA:

    • Just over half (56%) of the study participants claimed that they had a more positive impression of a company after they received a promo product with the brand name on it.
    • Almost all participants (a whopping 87%!) said they kept promotional products for over a year.
    • 79% of participants said they would do business again with companies who use promotional products as an advertising medium.
    • Finally, 66% of participants said they can recall brand names that are placed on promo items.

    Handband is using their popular Say No to Bullying wristbands to lend support to the fifth National Day of Action against Bullying and Violence, slated for Friday March 20, 2015.

    This annual day provides a focus for all schools to say "Bullying. No Way!" and to strengthen their existing everyday messages that bullying and violence at school are not okay at any time. While some folks may attempt to paint it as ‘part of growing up’, it has become clear that bullying is both a dangerous and emotionally damaging practice. Including actions such as threatening behavior, physical or verbal attacks, spreading rumors, or deliberately excluding someone from a group or activity, it’s been shown to cause long lasting damage in addition to the distress experienced as it happens.
