How to Print Tyvek Wristbands at Home

1. Design your wristband layout in Canva, Word or any image editor (one band = approximately 25×200 mm)
2. Use the supplied A4 template (free download with every order) to align 10 bands per sheet
3. Load the blank Tyvek sheet into your inkjet printer (manual feed or photo paper tray)
4. Print at "Best" quality on plain paper setting
5. Allow ink to dry for 60 seconds (tyvek absorbs ink slightly slower than paper)
6. Snap apart along the perforations
7. Peel adhesive backing and wrap around wrist

Printing Tips

• Use vivid colours — tyvek absorbs ink slightly, so lighter shades can wash out. Saturated CMYK works best.
• Keep text bold and at least 10 point — readable at arm's length
• Set printer to "Best" or "Photo" quality for the sharpest result
• Print a single test sheet first to check alignment and colour accuracy
• Avoid full-bleed designs — leave 2 mm safe margin around each band

Can I print these with a laser printer? No — this product is designed for inkjet printers only. Laser printer heat can damage Tyvek. Order our laser-printable version if you have a laser printer.

What sizes are the wristbands? Standard adult size, 25×200 mm per band. 10 bands per A4 sheet. Adjustable closure fits most adult wrists.

Are the bands waterproof? Yes — Tyvek is fully water-resistant. Bands survive rain, sweat and splashing. Ink is fixed once dry.

Will the ink smudge? Allow 60 seconds for ink to dry after printing. Once dry, the ink is fixed and won't smudge with normal handling or sweat.

Can the bands be re-used? No — the one-way adhesive closure permanently bonds the band shut. To remove, the band must be cut. This is intentional — prevents transfer between attendees.

What if I make a printing mistake? Most orders include 5–10 percent extra bands as a printing buffer. Free A4 template helps prevent alignment errors.
