CHILDREN at Trenance Learning Academy in Newquay donned wristbands which they made to mark Anti-Bullying Week on Friday.

All week the children have made different bands based on their year group topics and have learnt about bullying.

Year 1 students made their bands from glow sticks after learning about light and dark, Year 2's made theirs out of paper chains and decorated them as part of their topic on celebrations while the foundation year pupils used beads and pipe cleaners to focus on counting and different colours.

After a celebration assembly on Friday, and as a conclusion to anti-bullying week, all the children gathered on the playground wearing their creations.

They took part in activities in the afternoon which focused on teamwork including team-building games and the creation of a graffiti wall with phrases about bullying.
