EDEN - A Campbellsport High School student is honoring the victims of a deadly car crash. He's making bracelets in memory of three schoolmates who died in that high-speed crash in Fond du Lac County in February.

Around Campbellsport, you'll see many wearing these bracelets. High school sophomore Ryan Stommel made them.

"A lot of people told me they thought it was a nice idea. Now they'll have something for years to come to remember," said Stommel, remember Sabrina Stahl, Katie Berg and Caitlin Scannel. All three were killed in a car crash last February.

"It had a big impact. Things have been a lot different than they used to be," said Stommel.

Stommel told FOX 11 he wanted to help his community move on, but still honor the girls' memories. He's always liked to make jewelry. So he decided to make these bracelets with pink and purple beads, the girls' favorite colors, and angel wings.

And soon the whole Stommel family got involved.

"You felt you had to do something also," said Sharon Stommel, Ryan's mom.

Stommel has made 600 bracelets with the help of his mom, dad and little sisters. He told us so far he's sold 300 of them and raised $2,500 for the Three Angels Fund. The girls' parents started the fund to raise money for the school in their daughters' names.

"They thought it was nice I was doing something for them," said Stommel.

But it's not just the victims' families who appreciate Stommel's work and it means more than money.

"Somebody said there's a dark cloud hanging over Campbellsport, but with every dark cloud there's a silver lining. This is kind of like a silver lining," said Sharon.

Stommel said he's happy the bracelets bring some positivity into his community.

"I had some people say that they don't go anywhere without them and I see people all over that have them. It feels really nice," said Stommel.

The bracelets are currently being sold at National Exchange Bank and Eden Cafe, both in Eden, as well as at Ben Franklin in Campbellsport.

The Three Angels Fund is set up through National Exchange Bank in Eden and other donations are being accepted aside from the bracelet money.
