South Windsor High SADD (Students Against Destructive Decisions) will be handing out bracelets to high school students on Tuesday and Thursday of this week.

Students will be given two bracelets along with a note about being safe this holiday season. We will ask that they wear one "I Will Be Safe" bracelet and that they give the second one to a parent, older sibling or teacher to remind them to also make good choices by not drinking or doing drugs, or by riding in a car with someone under the influence.

"We realize that after the tragedy that occured last week these bracelets will hold even more meaning," Reed said. "The 'I will be safe' message means so many things. Together as a community we all need to look out for each other in many ways. This small gift is an opportunity for high school students to remind their parents and loved ones that they will do the best that they can to make good choices and help those around them to do the same."
