HOUSTON - Business at a Houston company is being fueled like fire by Linsanity.

Have you noticed the bright orange bracelets NBA player Jeremy Lin has been wearing? They're made by a Houston company called Active Faith.

You've likely heard the sentence, “In Jesus' Name I Pray.” Well the wristband that Jeremy Lin has been wearing reads “In Jesus' Name I Play.”

"I'm a living witness that God can bless you with a dream bigger than you have for yourself," says Active Faith Co-Founder Lanny Smith.

For Denver Broncos Quarterback Tim Tebow, it's written all over his face. Now the super hot New York Knick Jeremy Lin is wearing his faith on his sleeve, so to speak.

The religious wristbands being worn by Lin are now wanted all over the globe.

"Thousands of orders from all over the world (have come in). I mean literally overnight (business increased). Our web server crashed a couple of times. It just couldn't handle the amount of traffic," says Smith.

Lanny Smith was born and raised in Houston. He graduated from Hightower High School and the University of Houston where he was a superstar basketball player. Smith co-founded Active Faith, a Christian sportswear company in 2010, with Minnesota Timberwolves forward Anthony Tolliver.

"The idea was kind of born out of an unfortunate situation of mine. I was playing professional basketball and I experienced a career ending injury," says Smith.

After college Smith was picked up by the Houston Rockets. A short time later he busted his knee. That may have killed his NBA career but Active Faith was born.

"My faith has always been important to me. So it was kind of an opportunity to merge my faith and my love for sports," says Smith.

Smith met a guy a year ago and gave him Active Faith bands when he heard the young man talking about his religion. You may have heard of him. Does the name Jeremy Lin ring a bell?

At the time Lin was in the NBA Development League then he was being bounced around the NBA. He was released by Golden state and picked up and let go by the Rockets. When Lin landed in New York Smith gave him updated Active Faith bands.

"I gave him some orange bands to match his uniform. About a week and a half later, next thing you know he's on ESPN, on everything across the world," says Smith.

When Lin-sanity hit, fans took notice of the little orange bracelet which reads 'In Jesus' Name I Play' and they had to have it. In fact, the Active Faith line is available at Lakewood Church.

The 'In Jesus' Name I Play' bands are, for now, sold out.

"It's surreal. I've always felt from the beginning this is a vision God blessed me with and something He had His hands on," says Smith.

You can join the Lin-Sanity and buy a band for yourself. Just go to www.myactivefaith.com. Plenty of bands and apparel are still available.

The clothing has a special moisture absorbing fabric. There's men's apparel and a women's line. That slogan for the bracelets actually was first a slip of the tongue for Lanny Smith.

At the end of a pre-game prayer he said 'In Jesus' Name I Play'. Now it's on a bracelet being worn by one of the hottest players in the NBA.
