OTTAWA - On Friday, February 8th, the Carleton University Ravens will take on the Royal Military College Paladins Women's Basketball team in the "Battle for Breast Cancer" game at the Ravens' Nest, on the campus of Carleton University.

The Ravens will host the event in association with the Women's Basketball Coaches Association, with all proceeds from the sale of Breast Cancer T-Shirts, Pins and Ribbons going towards the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation.

The event is an initiative brought forth by the Women's Basketball Coaches Association, with events held at every Canadian university in the country that participates in women's basketball.

The goal of the program is for schools to support the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation's fight against breast cancer. Each year, thousands of Canadians are touched by breast cancer. It not only impacts the individuals living with the disease, but their families, friends and loved ones as well.

The Carleton University Ravens women's basketball team will be showing their support for the effort to help fund research, education programs and early diagnosis and treatment by wearing the traditional "pink wrist band" during the RMC-Carleton Basketball game.

In partnership with the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation, the Carleton University Breast Cancer Awareness Club, the Carleton University Ravens are please to be hosting "Hoops and Hope." The Carleton University Breast Cancer Awareness Club will be on hand, to sell the Foundation's promotional materials, the Ravens hope to see you at the game and hope your generosity will help the fight against this disease.
