Skinny Debossed Solid Wristbands - Skinny custom silicone wristbands measure 1/4 inch or 6 mm wide.  These wristbands come in a range of sizes from small to large and even extra large.  If your size is not available, or you would like a wristband with different specifications to those offered on this page, please contact Handband, and we can create a custom wristband size for your requirements.

If you opt for the swirl version skinny wristband, the effect is very dramatic, as the colours come in contact, other colours may appear, making each wristband unique.  But be careful of creating a swirly mess, we can combine up to four colours, but we feel that two or three different colours look the best.

Why skinny, and what it costs you

A slim band is a deliberate trade. You gain wearability and lose printable area, and whether that is the right trade depends entirely on how long you want the band worn.

People actually keep wearing them

A wide band announces itself and comes off after the event. A slim band sits like a bracelet, which is why awareness campaigns choose them — the message stays on the wrist for months rather than hours. If your goal is sustained visibility rather than a single day, narrow beats wide.

They stack

Several slim bands can be worn together without looking cluttered, which suits multi-year campaigns, tiered donations or supporters who collect them. A wide band cannot share a wrist gracefully.

Keep the message short

This is the real constraint. A short phrase or a name debosses cleanly; a message plus a web address plus a hashtag will not. Cut the text until only the essential words remain, or step up to a classic-width band.

Making debossed text read on a narrow band

Contrast comes from the fill, not the letters

Debossing presses the text below the surface, so on a solid band the message is the same colour as the band and reads as texture rather than type. That is a deliberate, understated look. If you need it legible across a room, specify a colour fill — the ink in the recess is what creates contrast.

Simple letterforms survive the width

Thin strokes, fine serifs and tight letter spacing lose definition when pressed into a narrow band. Bold, open typefaces hold their shape. The same contrast thinking set out in W3C accessible design guidance applies on a wrist: the greater the difference between mark and background, the further away it stays readable.

Logos need checking at size

A logo that works on a poster may lose its detail at this width. Send vector artwork and we will tell you at proofing whether it will hold up, or suggest a simplified mark.
