How the dual-layer finish works

A solid silicone band is dipped by hand in a coloured gloss paint, then a laser burns away that outer coat exactly where the artwork sits. What you read is not ink on the surface — it is the band’s own base colour showing through.

Why that matters for durability

Printed artwork is a layer sitting on top of the band, and it is the layer that wears first. Here the contrast comes from two materials that are both part of the band, so there is nothing to scratch off. The message stays as legible on month twelve as on day one.

The gloss is part of the look

The dipped coat gives a sheen that moulded silicone does not have. Next to a matte debossed band it reads as a more finished, more considered object, which is why brands choose it for merchandise people are meant to keep rather than for crowd control.

Choosing your two colours

Every dual-layer band is two decisions: the base colour underneath and the dipped colour on top. The artwork reads in the base colour, so the pairing is the design.
