Fund raising is one of the necessary evils of running a club, or wanting new materials for your school or after-school care program. There's just not enough money to go around!

Here are some quick fund-raising ideas that might make your life that little bit easier.

1. If you do an annual event and it's generally a little bit fancy, how about doing the opposite this year? Instead of the dinner suit at the fanciest hotel in town, have a beer and bowling night, or a hotdogs on the beach night with prizes and competitions. You'll have a much lower budget and extra dollars can be cajoled out of guests far more readily.

2. Do the reverse raffle idea.... guests are given a free ticket and the prize is some awful thing like singing karaoke in front of everyone. The unlucky recipients of the winning ticket can bribe their way out of the need to perform with a suitable donation.

3. The not so silent auction - encourage guests to go back to the auction tables by announcing the low, low prices of some of the items regularly!

Handband wristbands are a great little giveaway on your night. You can print company logos and all manner of message on the outside of the wristbands and get your event message across loud and clear.  See hear for more details - Handbands.
