Eltham Primary School is celebrating 150 years of education this year. The Celebration Committee tried in vain to come up with an appropriate souvenir to suit both children and adults alike. Forget pens, mugs, bookmarks, sports bottles, tea towels and all those boring old things…..we purchased 600 HANDBANDS of various colors to sell to our 375 students, with the profits going towards our big event on Saturday 12th, August. We had our bands customized with ‘E.P.S. 150th 1856-2006’ and also with our values ‘Excellence, Respect, Compassion, Life Long Learning’.
Four mums took their lives into their own hands to sell our Handbands to the students. Three sale days were organized. The first was relatively calm. The second was a bit of a bun-fight. The third can only be described as a wild frenzy!!! The outcome?.....the kids love their Handbands…..with ‘camouflage’ and ‘glow in the dark’ being the most sought after colors. Furthermore, when asked what the bands represent, we are in fact advertising our event. Brilliant!!
After an internet search for silicone wristband companies from where I could purchase these sought after souvenirs, I was most impressed with the ‘Handband’ website. Not only was it well presented, but it was user friendly and allowed many options. Upon calling the company and speaking to Michael, I was even more impressed. Michael was fantastic in helping me to decide on colors and offered our second phrase for nothing. He took my complicated order over the phone and never failed to follow up with regards to production, dispatch and customer satisfaction. Michael is to be commended for the friendly and caring, yet professional approach to business, in that he places his customers first. Well done Michael!!! By the way….the new order page is great. Thank you for listening to advice from your customers.
The students of Eltham P.S. thank you for their Handbands. Eltham Primary School23/05/2006 |
