Wristbands to help children to safety when lost
Tuesday, February 19th, 2008THOUSANDS of children in Cramlington have been given wristbands to help them stay safe if they get lost.
The initiative, developed by Community Support Officers Liam Dixon and Barry Elliott, has seen around 5,000 friendship bands given out to primary school pupils containing phone numbers to ring if they get lost or separated from their parents.

Vote Strong Wristbands
Wednesday, February 6th, 2008San Diego State Associated Students has launched a campaign to encourage students to vote.
Jeremy Ehrlich, A.S. vice president of external affairs, and the A.S. External Affairs Board have been handing out yellow T-shirts, buttons and stickers with the words “I Will Vote” to students. There are also yellow wristbands with the words “Vote Strong,” one of which was given to Sen. Hillary Clinton after her appearance at SDSU on Friday.
