Ashton McLamb raises awareness among teens

Ashton McLamb isn’t necessarily your average teenager. While she does spend a lot of time hanging out with friends, working on the cheerleading squad and playing tennis, she also spends a significant amount of time volunteering and helping others.

Charity wristbands get Red Arrows’ backing

A CHARITY campaign which was set up by a teacher and a group of his pupils is being given support from all over the world.

Stamford’s Richard Brewster set up the Supporting Our Troops charity with pupils at Stamford School and fellow colleague Falklands veteran Marc Jackson, because of the school’s strong links with the armed forces.

Professors bring lessons from Chad’s Sudanese refugee camps back to Penn State

“I feel a responsibility to try and make a difference in some way for people living in the most dire situations,” said Lee Ann De Reus, Penn State Altoona associate professor of human development and women’s studies. “As far as the most tragic (circumstances go), I don’t think it gets any worse than genocide.”
