New initiative set to tackle Bullying

Shirlock Foundation Supports Leukemia Sufferers

Sara Keene couldn’t believe Georgia Tech’s starting free safety wanted to speak to her.

“I was like, ‘The Djay Jones?’ I needed a moment to get it all together,” Keene said. “It was really surreal. I had to think about it for a minute. It was like, ‘Do you have the right person?’

Hospital wristbands now statewide standard

In all healthcare settings split second decisions are often made to save patients’ lives.

To assist nurses and physicians in making quick judgment calls, the Ohio Patient Safety Institute (OPSI) has implemented a statewide standardization of colored wristbands for Ohio hospitals to help alert caregivers of certain medical conditions.
