Lance Armstrong Foundation: Paws off our trademark

The Lance Armstrong Foundation Inc. has sued Oklahoma’s Animal Charity Collar Group alleging trademark infringement of the foundation’s well-known LiveStrong yellow wristbands.

Animal Charity Collar Group, a for-profit company, produces yellow pet collars imprinted with slogans such as BARKSTRONG and PURRSTRONG, which are sold on over the Internet on their Web site www.barkstrong.net, and on retail sites like Amazon.com and eBay.

Red Wristbands Warn Hospitals of Patient Allergy Risk

Hospital patients are being put at risk because medics are missing potentially lethal drug allergies, research out today shows.

Gaps in recording some elderly people’s reactions were uncovered at Sunderland Royal Hospital.

A poll of 100 patients, admitted to the hospital, showed that records of allergies to drugs such as codeine, paracetamol and penicillin were either incomplete, overlooked or missed out altogether.

Flight 93 Hearts of Steel Raises $1mill with Bracelets

Brain cancer survivor from Dover participates in Fundraising Event

DOVER — When Kim Chrane was suffering from brain cancer 16 years ago, resources from the Lance Armstrong Foundation were not available to her.

After 16 years, six surgeries, radiation, and chemotherapy, it was not until recently that Chrane’s diagnosis was labeled as low-grade brain cancer.
